Introduction
This updated statement outlines all the initiatives and actions taken in the past year as part of Aptia Group’s commitment to address any risk of modern slavery and human trafficking arising within our business and supply chain. We continue to adopt a zero-tolerance stance to modern slavery and human trafficking in our organisation and our supply chain. Any reference to “Aptia”, “The Aptia Group” or “the Group” in this statement refers to Aptia Group Holdings Limited and all its subsidiaries
Our initiatives and actions
- Launched our global corporate Whistleblowing solution ‘SpeakUp’ enabling access through multiple communication channels.
- Reviewed and updated our Third-Party Risk Management policy.
- Continued to monitor legislative developments and press releases in relation to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to keep key stakeholders appraised of these.
- Monitored concerns reported under relevant policies – none were reported in relation to the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Continued to assess the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking arising in relation to contracts and suppliers.
- Continued to improve the capability of supplier contract managers to address any risk of modern slavery and human trafficking arising during supplier screening by sourcing technology options for automating the process around supplier risk management.
- Developed initial key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our actions in tackling the risk of slavery and human trafficking arising in our business or supply chain.
- Reviewed output from a range of organisations and government agencies, including the Home Office (HO) and Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA), to inform our approach on the development and rollout of an anti-slavery training programme.
Next steps
- Continue to raise awareness of the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking with all individuals engaged by Aptia, including directors, employees, third-party service providers, suppliers, contractors and business partners.
- Update our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking policy with additional information on how to identify and report any concerns.
- Finalise and implement relevant KPIs.
- Develop and roll out appropriate training.
