Our Community
Our commitment
Our corporate partnership with Re-engage is part of Aptia’s global commitment to put purpose at the forefront of our strategy and day-to-day activities.
As the largest private sector third-party pensions administrator in the UK we engage with hundreds of thousands of pensioners each year, many in vulnerable positions. We’re proud that we already make a positive difference in the lives of our members. Through this partnership with Re-engage, we can extend that impact even further by building connections and offering companionship to those who need it most.
Empowering our colleagues
Our people are the heart of our business. This partnership creates meaningful opportunities for our colleagues to connect with the community, fostering a culture of support and engagement both inside and outside the workplace. Through Re-engage's initiatives, we are empowering our employees to make a positive impact, while also providing them with valuable experiences that align with their personal and professional growth. At Aptia, we believe that investing in our community is an investment in our people.
About Re-engage
Re-engage was first created in 1965 after Trevor Lyttleton, now 88, launched the first tea party after encountering a lonely older woman in London. Today, almost 60 years on, Re-engage organizes hundreds of tea parties for the elderly to meet, and has nearly 9,000 volunteers supporting around 7,000 older people through social events and call befriending services.
Re-engage is committed to older people being heard, valued, and engaged. As we get older, our social circles diminish, and we find ourselves with fewer and fewer people to turn to. Imagine realizing one day that all your friends and family have gone from your life - loneliness can be cruel, and it affects millions of people over 75 who live in social isolation.
Re-engage is making life less lonely for thousands of older people every year. At Aptia, our goal is to increase this impact .
"When you get to my age, you find that all your old friends have died. It's left me feeling empty. I'm very grateful for the calls which brighten my day. Life would really be awful without them.
Phyllis - Re-engage call companion recipient
"I used to know most of the neighbours but they've all moved on. The days are very long and I hardly get out."
Fredrick, aged 91
