Aptia has appointed Jyotsna Kaushik as Head of Modelling and Monitoring within its Investment Consulting practice, further strengthening the firm's capabilities in investment modelling, risk management and strategic pension scheme advisory services.
A highly accomplished Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA), Jyotsna brings 20 years' experience spanning asset-liability modelling (ALM), quantitative engineering, capital management, Solvency II, risk modelling and investment strategy. She joins Aptia from Standard Life, where she held senior roles across Quant Engineering and ALM, leading major model transformation programmes and the development of advanced analytical capabilities supporting investment decision-making and hedging strategies.
Prior to Standard Life, Jyotsna spent more than four years at PwC, where she led actuarial audits and consulting projects for major life insurers and bulk annuity providers. Her experience also includes senior actuarial and modelling roles at Partnership Assurance (now Just Group), JLT and Paternoster (now Rothesay).
Alongside her professional achievements, Jyotsna is a recognised leader within the actuarial profession. She currently serves as a Council Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and is a member of its Finance and Investment Board. She is also the Immediate Past President and founding member of the Indian Actuarial Network UK, where she significantly expanded the organisation's reach and engagement across the profession.
